Kelly Montgomery MARC Training Experience

“My MARC training represents the continuation of my lab experience spanning the past two years. My current project focuses on understanding the regulation of specific transcription factors on the activity of the insulin receptor gene in Drosophila melanogaster (fruit flies),” said Kelly Montgomery, a human biology junior. “Thus far, through seminars, scientific meetings and lab experiences, involvement in the MARC program has advanced my knowledge and skill set in the biomedical sciences, creating in me a deepened passion for benefiting others through scientific innovations.”  - Kelly Montgomery
